Buckley Residence

The Buckley family of Iowa City wanted to incorporate a natural playscape into a landscape populated with plants that produced food. One of the challenges was to work the playscape into an existing slope. Abundant Playscapes created a plan with a secret pathway running along the entire length of the slope with several of the playscape elements such as a dramatic play stage, sand play, messy materials, compost area, raised planters and embankment slide taking advantage of the slope as a backdrop. Completion for the first phase of the project is set for Summer 2012.
