Plank Residence

The Plank family provided a unique opportunity for creating a natural playscape in that they desired a space which was desirable for children to connect to nature through play while being aesthetically pleasing to adults (and for re-sale). Also a factor was the home is used for a childcare business. Sand play, water play, a secret pathway with an embankment slide, dramatic play stage, art & construction area, a gathering space with a fire pit were worked seamlessly together into a landscape lush with plants which the children are planting and growing themselves! Completion of the primary portion of the project is set for Fall 2012.
